NAOKA is an awakening studio dedicated to meditation, self-mastery, and creative exploration. Rooted in both stillness and movement, NAOKA is a space for seekers, artists, and visionaries to deepen their practice, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and embody presence in everyday life. Through guided meditations, dharma talks, and community offerings, NAOKA invites you to slow down, tune in, and awaken to the fullest expression of yourself.
Meet Asa Yee
I was born and raised in Queens as a first-generation Bangladeshi, surrounded by a rich blend of cultures, languages, and traditions. Growing up in a community where resilience and creativity were woven into everyday life shaped how I see the world.
Meditation was always present, but it wasn’t until I faced the weight of depression and anxiety that it became a lifeline. Through stillness, I found a way to turn my struggles into strength and rediscover the fullness of who I am.
As the founder of NAOKA, a meditation teacher, creative copywriter, and podcast host, I hold space for others to do the same: to reclaim their peace, transform their pain into wisdom, and reconnect with their creative essence. My approach blends ancient practices with raw, unfiltered storytelling, creating a space where healing feels accessible and human. Whether you’re an artist, a seeker, or simply someone in search of stillness, I’m here to guide you back to yourself.

My teaching style is raw, real, and deeply human—grounded in tradition yet refreshingly modern. I honor ancient wisdom while making meditation feel personal, relatable, and accessible. Through storytelling, breath, and stillness, I create a space where you can show up as you are. Expect an experience that is both structured and intuitive, where self-exploration meets deep presence.

For most meditation sessions, all you need is a quiet space, a comfortable seat (cushion, chair, or floor), and an open mind. If a class requires anything additional, such as a journal or specific props, you’ll receive details beforehand.

I teach all levels—from beginners looking to start their practice to experienced meditators deepening their journey. Whether you are just learning how to sit in stillness or refining your awareness, there’s space for you here.

Absolutely. A busy mind is part of the process. Meditation isn’t about stopping thoughts—it’s about learning how to relate to them with awareness and ease.
